How to fill CTET Application Form?

Log on to Official Portal:

  • First of all, applicants, who have decided to apply for Central Teacher Eligibility Test, need to fill an application form which is available on the official website that is www.ctet.nic.in.
  • When you have visited on the official site, need to go for “Current News” section which has shown at the left side of the homepage.
  • Then, select the suitable link given in this section and notification will display on your computer screen.

Read complete Notification:

  • Now read complete details about Central Teacher Eligibility Test Notification such as eligibility, required fee, procedure of selection and other essential instructions.
  • After reading the complete notification, again visit the home page.

Fill Online Application:

  • Now select suitable link to fill online Central Teacher Eligibility Test application form.
  • Fill required details in CTET Online Application Form with complete details in correct manner such as qualification, personal detail, email address and contact details etc.

Upload scanned Documents:

  • Now applicants are required to upload scanned photograph and signature.
  • Photograph and signature should be in jpg format.
  • Size of documents should not be more than as declared in notification.

Make Payment:

Application Fees General and OBC category SC/ ST/ PWD category
For either paper 1 or 2 Rs. 600/- Rs. 300/-
For both paper 1 & 2 Rs. 1000 Rs. 500/-
  • Offline Mode: Applicants can deposit the fee through offline mode by generate a challan through computer for CTET Exam Fee in CBSE Account through Syndicate bank and Canara bank in the favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
  • Online Mode: In online mode, fee can be paid through credit card or debit card in the account of CBSE Board.

Final Submission:

  • Before final submission please recheck your filled application form.
  • Finally, press “Submit” button for the final submission.

Take Hard Copy:

  • After submission of application, candidates are required to take hard copy of it, as the proof of completion of application form.
  • Take this print out at time of exam along with your admit card.

CTET Eligibility Criteria:

  • For Classes I-V: Primary Stage:

Applicants, who want to fill CTET Application Form and willing to appear in this exam, should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45-50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

  • For Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage:

Applying candidates should have completed Degree of Graduation with at least 45-50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) / 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Selection Process:

Those applicants are selected, who have declared qualify in Central Teacher Eligibility Test or Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which is conducted by appropriate Central / State Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for this purpose.
