CTET Syllabus

As per the latest CTET Notification, online applications for CTET 2018 are going to be started from 22nd June 2018. CBSE has recently updated CTET Syllabus 2018 for September Exam. If you’re the one going to participate CTET Paper 1 & 2, you can download the CBSE CTET Syllabus in PDF format through this page. 

As previously mentioned, the online registration for CTET September 2018 are planned to be commenced from 22nd June 2018 and will be opened till 19th July 2018.The examination will be held on 16th September 2018.The Latest CTET Syllabus has been updated officially on 12th June 2018.

CTET Syllabus PDF

CTET which stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test is State Level Exam designed and organized by The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as per the terms laid down by The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. CTET 2018 is designed to examine the ability of candidates having B.Ed. degree or diploma in elementary education for recruiting the qualified candidates on teaching positions across India.

CBSE CTET Syllabus is divided into two levels i.e. paper -1 and paper-2. Aspirants should know the paper -1 is for primary stage teachers and paper-2 is for upper primary teachers. Latest Structure and Content OF CTET Syllabus

As per Latest CTET Syllabus, structure and content, all questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.

There will be two papers of CTET

  • Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Questions in Paper I as prescribed by CBSE CTET Syllabus are based on the topics prescribed in syllabus of the NCERT for classes I – V but their difficulty standard as well as linkages will be based on to the Secondary stage.

Questions in Paper IIas prescribed by CBSE CTET Syllabus are based on the topics prescribed in syllabus of the NCERT for classes VI – VIII but their difficulty standard as well as linkages, will be based on to the Senior Secondary stage.

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

  • It will be based on the Multiple Choice Type Questions
  • The total marks are of 150.

Validity of CTET Certificate

As per rules, CTET qualifying certificate for appointment has the validity of 7 years for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. Candidate who has Qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
