KEAM Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for KEAM 2019, aspirants must check KEAM Eligibility Criteria from here!! The eligibility Criteria of KEAM includes Category Wise Age limit, Marks, nativity, domicile, age limit, etc.
Candidates are advised to first ensure whether they are eligible for KEAM 2019 or not. And if they are eligible only then they can proceed to fill KEAM Application Form before its last date.

KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2019
KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2019 includes:
- Educational qualification
- Qualifying exam marks
- Age limit
Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for KEAM 2019. Persons of Indian Origin and Overseas Citizen of India will also take part in admission process but they will not get any type of reservation benefits.
Category Wise KEAM Eligibility
On the basis of nativity, the candidates will be categorized as follows:
Candidates having domicile certificate of Kerala known as Keralite. In case any student parents are employee of All India Services of Kerala then he/she will comes under this category but they will not claim any reservation.
Candidates who have not domicile certificate of Kerala and student parents are also not the employee of All India Services of Kerala but they satisfy below stated conditions comes under Non-Keralite-1 Category:
- Passed qualifying examination from Kerala and Parents are posted in Kerala and employee of defense or central government.
- The candidates whose parents are serving/served Kerala Government for a period of 2 years and appearing/appeared qualifying examination from Kerala will come in this category and eligible for applying.
- In case, if the candidate is not the permanent resident of Kerala but spent 5 years of his/her study in Kerala then he/she is also eligible.
- Those who do not have domicile certificate of Kerala but completed/pursuing their 8th to 12th studies from Kerala are also eligible for KEAM 2018.
Non-Keralite Category II
Candidates who do not come under Keralite or Non-Keralite-1 will be known as Non-Keralite Category II. They are only eligible for admission to Government seats and Management quota seats in engineering courses in Government Controlled Self financing Colleges.

KEAM Qualification Criteria
|For Engineering Courses- For B.Tech Courses (including Agriculture Engineering/Food Engineering & Technology/Dairy Technology/Food Technology):||Qualifying Examination: Candidates must qualify the Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent thereto from a recognized board.|
Minimum Marks: It is required for the aspirants to pass qualifying examination with 50% marks in Mathematics separately and an aggregate of 50% marks in PCM subjects when put together.
|For B.Tech (Dairy Technology):||Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass the 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.|
Minimum Marks: Qualify the above examination with 50% marks in Mathematics/Biology separably & 50% marks in PCM/B put together.
|For Agriculture Course (B.Arch):||Qualifying Exam: The aspirants must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.|
10+3 Diploma (any stream) candidates can also apply for this exam with 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics as one of the subject of the examination.
Subjects: Pass the qualifying examination with Mathematics as a subject of study.
Minimum Marks: Pass the above exam with 50% aggregate marks.
|For Pharmacy Courses|
|For B.Pharm Course:||Minimum Marks: Pass the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Biology/Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics put together are eligible.|
Qualifying Exam: Pass Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent examination.
|For Medical & Allied Courses:|
|For MBBS, BDS, BSMS Courses:||Qualifying Exam: Candidates should pass higher secondary examination or its equivalent|
Subjects: Pass the above examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology subjects.
Minimum Marks: Pass the above examination with 50% marks in Biology/Biotechnology separately & 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology put together.
|For BAMS/BHMS Courses:||Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass 12th or its equivalent examination from recognized board.|
Subjects: Pass the above examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.
Minimum Marks: Pass the above examination with 50% marks in Biology separately & 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together.
|For BUMS Course:||Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass 10+2 or its equivalent examination from recognized board.|
Subjects: Pass the above examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.
Minimum Marks: Pass the above examination with 50% marks in PCB subjects & 50% marks separately in Biology.
|For B.Sc(Hons.)Agriculture/Forestry, BFSc Courses:||Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass 10+2 or its equivalent examination from recognized board.|
Minimum Marks: Pass the above examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology put together & 50% marks separately in Biology.
|For BVSc. & AH Course:||Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass 12th or its equivalent examination from recognized board.|
Minimum Marks: Pass the above examination not less than 50% marks in English, PCB subjects.
|For B.Sc Degree Holders:||Qualifying Exam: Candidates, those pass B.Sc degree with Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany or Biotechnology as Main subjects, and any one or two of the above subjects as Subsidiaries are eligible for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and BSMS courses.|
Minimum Marks: Pass the above examination with 50% marks for Main & Subsidiaries taken together.

Age limit for KEAM 2019
Age of the candidates must be 17 years on December 31, 2018. There will be no relaxation in the minimum age and there will be no upper age limit for the entrance exam.
Marks relaxation for SBC
Socially and educationally backward community’s candidates have to qualify the qualifying examination as they only need 45% marks in Mathematics/Biology and 45% marks in Mathematics/Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
Marks relaxation for PHD
Physically Handicapped Candidates will get relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination for Engineering and Medical Allied Courses. They need 45 % marks in Mathematics/Biology and 45 % marks in Mathematics/Biology, Physics and Chemistry put together.
