 SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who want to participate in Combined Higher Secondary Level examination have to fulfill prescribed SSC CHSL 2019 Eligibility Criteria as mentioned below. Those who will not satisfy SSC CHSL Eligibility norms there applications will be rejected.

SSC CHSL Nationality Criteria

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin, migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates belonging to (b), (c), (d) and (e) categories shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

SC CHSL Qualification Criteria

  • Candidates must have been passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from recognized Board or University.
  • For Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) 12th Standard must be passed in Science stream with Mathematics

Note-I: As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10.06.1995 published in Gazette of India, all the degree/ diplomas/ certificates including technical education degree/ diploma awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission.

SC CHSL Age Criteria 2019

As per SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2019, Candidates have not been born before 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2001) that means lower age required is 18 years and maximum age must be 27 years as on 01.08.2019

About Exam SSC CHSL Examination

Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) conducted Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam for the purpose of recruitment of eligible and capable applicants to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO).
