JEE Main Marking Scheme 2022

JEE Mains Marking Scheme for Paper-1
- For MCQs – 4 Marks will be awarded for each correct answer. There is a negative marking of 1 Mark for every incorrect answer.
- For an answer with a numeric value – 4 Marks will be awarded for each correct answer. There is a negative marking of 1 Mark for every incorrect answer.
JEE Mains Marking Scheme for Paper-2
- For MCQs – Each correctly answered question will get you 04 marks. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark on each incorrect answer.
- For Questions with numerical value answers – Each correctly answered question will get you 04 marks. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark on each incorrect answer.

JEE Mains Exam Pattern – Method of Resolving Ties
Method of Resolving Ties for JEE Main Paper 1:
In case there is a tie between examinees with equal Total NTA scores in JEE Mains Paper1: B.E./B.Tech, it will be resolved in the following descending order:
- NTA score in Mathematics, followed by
- NTA score in Physics, followed by
- NTA score in Chemistry, followed by
- Aspirants having a lesser ratio of negative to positive responses
