The National Rural Health Mission is an enterprise to tackle the health requirements of underserved rural areas undertaken by government of India. In April 2005 by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh it was launched, the National Rural Health Mission was initially tasked with addressing the health wants of 18 states that had been recognized as having weak public health indicators. By Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss the Union Cabinet has headed and its decision dated 1 May 2013, which has approved the launch of National Urban Health Mission.
