Eligibility Requirement:

Applicants who want to pursue their 10th or 12th class from this open school must fulfill below given minimum essential qualifications-

Courses Name Qualification Required
For Secondary Course (10th Class) Certificate of Class VIII passed, or Self Certificate (as mentioned at the back of Admission Form) attested by a Gazetted Officer
For Senior Secondary Course (12th Class) Copy of the Certificate of the Secondary Examination passed i.e. class 10th passed from a recognized Board of Secondary Education, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer

Age Limit:

  • Upper age limit of the aspirants applying for Secondary courses is 14 years as on 31st January 2017.
  • Upper age limit of the contenders applying for Senior Secondary courses is 15 years as on 31st January 2017.

NIOS Application Form:

NIOS Application Form is released on their official website in both Online and Offline mode. Candidates may go through below given information and instructions to fill up these application form. Mode of Fee Payment:

Fees can be deposited by both modes i.e. either through online or offline mode. Channels are well prescribed below-

  • Through Online Mode-

Fee can be deposited through online mode by Credit Card (Master or VISA)/Net Banking.

  • Through Offline Mode-

Fees can be deposited by offline mode are through Bank Draft of any Nationalised Bank of India only in favour of Secretary, NIOS payable at respective Regional Centre.

Secondary Courses

For 5 Subjects Rs. 1,485/- Rs. 1,210/- Rs. 990/- Rs. 150/- per subject

NIOS Fee Structure (With Late Fee):

From 16th September to 31st January Normal Fee
From 1st February to 15th February With Late Fee of Rs. 200/-
From 16th February to 28th February With Late Fee of Rs. 400/-
From 1st March. to 15th March With Late Fee of Rs. 700/-

List of Documents required to be sent Along with NIOS Application Form:

  • Attested copy of Birth Certificate for all born on or after 26.01.1989
  • Attested copy of Passport Issued by Govt. of India
  • Certificate for SC/ST (in case of SC/ST)
  • Photocopy of Mark sheet of Class X Board Examination (in case of Sr. Secondary)
  • Certificate from the Employer for Ex-Servicemen
  • Certificate from a Government Hospital for a handicapped person
  • Original failure/compartment Mark sheet of class X or XII for TOC
  • Transfer Certificate from the last school attended or Self Certificate regarding educational qualifications (in case of Secondary)

  • After that hit “Stream 1” link which is given in the table under the “Type of Stream” section.
  • Then hit “Online Admission” link, then online application form will appear in front of you.
  • Fill all details in that application form carefully.
  • And then press “submit” button for final submission.
  • And if you want to fill offline application form then you have to hit the link “Offline Application form” and then take a print out of it.
