- After that if you hit “Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) 2018 – Compartment – Announced on 7th August 2018” link, a new page will get opened on your screen as shown in below image.
- Then enter your Roll Number, School Number and Center Number and then hit on submit option

CBSE 12th Compartment FAQ’s
Question1: if candidates failed in 2 subjects in class 12th, then he/she is eligible to apply for compartment exam?
Answer: According to the rules of CBSE, one has to pass at least 5 of the 6 subject and if student have failed in 2 subjects, then one of the failed subjects will be replaced by the optional subject. So, it simply means that student is failed in only 1 subject, therefore, y eligible to apply for the compartment exam.
Question2: I did not get it, you mean to say that I can only give compartment exam for 1 subject?
Answer: well, the reason behind the compartment exam for 1 subject is that all the compartment or supplementary exams are conducted on the same day, so in this concern one can give the re-exam for only one subject.

Question3: What if I fail in 2 of the main subjects like Maths and Physics, and I want to improve my marks in both the subjects?
Answer: If you are having this situation, then you have to repeat class 12th, as candidate can only give the compartment exam for only one subject in a year according to CBSE rules and regulation.
Question4: So, does it mean that I can give the compartment exam for the other subject next year?
Answer: No, you cannot as the score card of the compartment is declared few weeks after the exam is conducted, and you will get an updated mark sheet.
Question5: What if I fail in compartment exam? or, how many chances will I get to clear the compartment exam?
Answer: Student gets three chances to clear a compartment exam. First chance in the month of July (the same year when s/he failed), second chance in the month of March/April (When the regular exams are held) the next year, third and the last chance in the month of July next year.
If you failed in 2017, then 1st chance will be in July 2018, second chance in March/April 2018, and third chance in July 2018.
