IFS Syllabus 2023 – Interview for Personality Test
Candidates who have qualified the written examination they will be called for a personality test that is interview. The purpose of the interview is to judge the suitability of the aspirant for the Service. The final selection will be made on the basis of individual’s performance in the interview for personality test.

General English and General Knowledge
- General English and General Knowledge paper are designed in standard level for a Science or Engineering graduate.
- To write the whole summary the English paper includes an essay and passages.
- To test general understanding of English of applying candidates, other questions are designed in that manner or perspective.
Optional Subjects Criteria
- All the exams are based on theory basis, no exam will be on practical basis in accordance with the bachelors degree graduate
- The question paper will be divided into two parts that is part A & B. Each comprising of equal marks that is each carry four-four questions of the same marks.
- Out of eight questions, five questions are to be attempted. One question in each part will be compulsory.
Personality Test
Candidates who qualify for the written examination then will be called for a personality test followed by a personal interview. In this candidates will be interviewed by a Board of competent. The interviewer will check the eligibility and capability of the candidate to be recruited for a particular post. Candidate should be versatile that is he is aware of whats happening in our surroundings as well as achieve good academic records. The technique of the interview will be natural and purposive to the candidate.
