Objective of Golden Jubilee Scholarship

The main purpose behind the Golden Jubilee Foundation (GJF) Scholarship Scheme is to provide financial help to those students who belong to economically weaker families. This scheme shall be helpful for them and they can enhance their studies at a higher level.

Courses covered under Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme

• Medicine
• Engineering
• Graduation in any discipline
• Diploma Course in any field or other equivalent courses
• Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges/Institutes
• Courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI)

LIC India Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

For Regular Scholar:

• Candidate must have passed Class X/XII exam or its equivalent scoring at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the Academic Year 2019-20.
• The candidate’s family income must not exceed Rs.2,00,000 per annum from all sources.
• LIC is willing to provide scholarships to the students who are interested (and willing) to pursue higher education in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Graduation in any discipline, Diploma Course in any field or other equivalent courses, Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges /Institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).

For Special Girl Child Scholar:

• It is a special scheme to provide financial support to the Girl Child after class 10 for pursuing higher studies in the 10 + 2 pattern for two years.
• The candidate must have passed the Class X exams (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the Academic Year 2019-20.
• The candidate’s family income must not exceed Rs.2,00,000 per annum from all sources.

Note: The Regular scholarship should strictly be provided only to students who are going for under-graduation (or its equivalent). This scholarship is not meant for post-graduation studies.

LIC Scholarship Amount

• 20 Scholarships per divisional center of LIC (10 each for boys and girls) will be given to meritorious students.
• An amount of Rs. 20,000/- per annum will be awarded to the selected Regular Scholar and shall be payable in 03 installments.
• An amount of Rs. 10,000/ per annum will be awarded for selected Special Girl Child and shall be payable in 03 installments.

Duration of GJF Scholarship

 For Regular Scholars, the Scholarship will be provided to shortlisted students for the entire duration of the course. For Special Girl Scholar, it will be provided for 02 years, subject to the candidate fulfilling the requisite eligibility conditions for renewal.

LIC Scholarship Conditions

• The scholarship will be awarded to those students who have scored a minimum of 60% marks.
• Parents’ income should not exceed Rs. 100000/- per annum.
• The scholarship shall be given to only one student in a family.
• If the student goes against any terms and conditions of fellowship, Scholarship may be suspended or canceled.
• If the student is found to have obtained fellowship by false statement/certificates, his/her fellowship shall be canceled.
