पुलिस आरक्षको के 15000 पदों की इस माह निकलने वाली भर्ती पर आरक्षित वर्ग के उम्मीदवारों को सामान्य श्रेणी में नौकरी नही मिलेगी। सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देश के बाद डीजीपी ऋषि कुमार शुक्ला ने चयन व भर्ती विभाग को यह व्यवस्था लागू करने को कहा है। इसके बाद नयी भर्ती में पुरानी व्यवस्था नहीं चलेगी। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने एक फैसले में कहा है कि जिन उम्मीदवारों ने आरक्षित कोटे में आवेदन किया है उन्हेंसामान्य कोटे का लाभ नहीं दिया जा सकता।
