About Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test:

Maharashtra TET Exam is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. No applicants will be able to get teacher job in any government schools. It is an important entrance exam from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8.

Maharashtra TET Eligibility Criteria:

For Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

• Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 OR
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

For Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage:

• Candidates should possess Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR
• Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE OR
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Eligibility Marks:

Candidates receiving at least 60% marks in the examinations (55% of the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, Vimukta castes / Nomadic tribes, special backward classes, other backward classes and disabled candidates) will be considered eligible for selection.

Maharashtra TET Application Fees:

Contenders who are applying need to pay the application fee and deposit it in the form of Bank Challan. Application Charges once paid, it will neither be refundable nor adjustable under any circumstances.

Mode of Selection:

Selection of applicants will be done on basis of marks obtained in Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test and Merit List. Aspirants are needed to get the whole information of the exam and do preparation as per the below given exam pattern.

• On home page of official site, follow “Register New” tab.
• Go to Registration link and registered yourself before applying.

Maharashtra TET Admit Card:

The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test Admit Card will be available on official website before the 15 days of the commencement of the examination. You can download the admit card by entering the registration number. The applicants must carry the e-admit card along with them to the examination hall, else they will not allowed to inside in the examination n hall.
