Graduate Management Admission Council has declared the NMAT Eligibility Criteria which is required to apply for NMAT by GMAC 2018. It is strongly advised to the candidates that they check their NMAT by GMAC Qualification and details of No of Attempts here.

According to the NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2018 decided for NMAT by GMAC 2018, any individual with a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institute with at least 50% aggregate in his studied discipline can apply for the test.

Course-Wise NMAT by GMAC Eligibility 2018

The NMAT Eligibility Criteria for different courses are as follows:

MBA (Mumbai Campus)

  • Applicants must have a full-time Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/4) from a recognized University in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in first the attempt.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation through a part-time, distance learning or correspondence course are not eligible to apply.

MBA HR [Mumbai Campus (selection process for this is separate)]

  • Applicants must have a full-time Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/4) from a recognized University in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% in first the attempt.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation through a part-time or distance learning or correspondence course are not eligible to apply.

MBA Pharmaceutical Management [Mumbai Campus (selection process for this is separate)]

  • Applicants must have a full-time Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/4) from a recognized University in Pharmacy, Life Science, MBBS, BDS, Science, BAMS, BHMS, B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biotechnology with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the first attempt.
  • Candidates having a post-graduate degree in Psychology, Sociology and Economics may also apply.
  • Applicants with a B.Tech or B.E in Bio-Tech. or Bio-Medical may also apply.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation through a part-time or distance learning or correspondence course are not eligible to apply.
  • Candidates working in pharmaceutical companies for more than two years are preferred.

PGDM 

  • Applicants must have a full-time Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/4) from a recognized University in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in first attempt.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation through a part-time or distance learning or correspondence course are not eligible to apply

NMAT Eligibility Criteria for International Candidates

International applicants can also apply for their choice of course (s) via NMAT by GMAC. The detailed NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2018 for the same are described below in the following points:

  • Any international candidate willing to apply must have a full-time Bachelor degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from any recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the first attempt.
  • The applicants must also have valid a GMAT score of six hundred and above (the GMAT score for last three years up to October 2018 will be taken into consideration).
  • International candidates having more than 2 years of post qualification experience will be preferred.
  • All the admissions for international candidates are subject to them getting clearance from the candidate’s government (if required) and a student visa from the Indian Embassy in the candidate’s country.

Key Points for NMAT by GMAC Eligibility 2018

Apart from the eligibility criteria as mentioned before in the article, given below are some important points to remember and other important instructions regarding NMAT Eligibility Criteria.

  • For candidates who have completed their graduation from overseas Universities, AIU certificate is mandatory.
  • For all full-time courses, candidates who are currently appearing for the final examination of their Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply. In such a case, provisional admission shall be granted.
  • Provisional admission is, however, subject to clearing the final examination of his/her Bachelor’s degree with at least fifty percent aggregate in marks. Candidates who are selected are required to produce all the necessary documents, in original, within the stipulated time.

NMAT No of Attempts

So basically, there are five windowns in the time period of October to december and maximum you can make 3 attempts. Window 1 starts from first week of October and ends after 15 days.

Window 2 starts from mid of October and lasts for 15 days Likewise, Window 3 and 4 will be in the month of November and 5th window in December. Maximum times you can take the test is thrice. And between two tests there should be a gap of 15 days. Out of all tests that one takes, the test which has the maximum marks will be considered.
