To enroll for RRB JE Jobs, age of applicant must be between 18 years to 33 years. Those who belong to reserved category will get relaxation in age as per norms of government as per RRB JE Recruitment Notification.

Selection for RRB Jr Engineer Vacancy is on the basis of merit list prepared on basis of following rounds.

The exam pattern details are as follows:
Languages:
The exam is expected to be held in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Konkani, Odiya, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, and Malayalam.
Questions:
All the questions in the exam will be of multiple choice type. Question will be asked from:

- Arithmetic
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Science and Technical Ability
Number of Questions:
In all there will be around 150 questions. 90 questions from the technical section will cover basic concepts of Science and Engineering from all the branches/disciplines of educational qualification.
