To apply as Engineer or Scientist in the same organization, contenders must possess B.E/ B.Tech. with 65 % marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Those who are in final year of Graduation and are expecting their result in time are also eligible to apply. To apply for Scientist Job in ISRO, contenders must not be above 35 years.

Indian Space Research Organization prefers M.Tech Engineers who have completed their education from any particular college like IIST. Contenders have to appear in all India Examination conducted by ISRO to be appointed as Scientist or Engineer. Selection process is done individually by ISRO centres viz., VSSC, SDSC, SAC.

How to Get Into ISRO through Gate?

ISRO conducts recruitment examination for BE/BTech professionals which is known as ICRB. For that you have to pay Rs. 100/- and syllabus of the above said examination is more or less the same as GATE. But don’t you know that ISRO exam was a lot easier than GATE. However, the no-win situation is the interview. Contenders can be shortlisted on the basis of GATE Score but still they want to appear in Personal Interview.

How To Join ISRO?

Aspirants meeting with the above mentioned criteria will be shortlisted for written examination followed by Personal Interview. Contenders are required to secure minimum 60% marks in the interview to get selected. Final selection will take place on the basis of Interview only, and not the written test.

Written Exam Pattern

  • Examination is conducted from specific courses related to space sciences and Avionics.
  • There will be 80 Qs (objective type) carrying equal marks in the written test.
  • 33% marks will be deducted for each wrong answer as negative marking.
  • Question will be related to the trade of engineering subjects and exam pattern will be same as a GATE entrance exam.
