In order to join IAF/Navy/Army, aspirants need to qualify medical fitness test also which includes Height and Weight, Visual Standards and other criteria. To determine the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), some tests carrying 100 marks are held i.e. 1.6 Km Run, Pull Ups, Balance and 9 Feet Ditch.

Physical Test for Indian Armed Forces
Indian armed forces have set some physical standard in order to recruit the best candidates as per Indian defense government rules. The Physical Criteria are as follow.
- Height of applying candidate must be 167Cm.
- Chest dimensions of aspirants must not be less than 77cm; as the minimum expansion is 5cm.
- Weight of appliers should not be less than 50 kg.
- Candidate should not be addicted with any communicable disease and cardiovascular, infections, surgeries etc. neither they should have any kind of past containing mental disease. Nose, ear and throat must be perfectly working for the perfect vision.
- Moreover, there should be no tattoo over on the skin.

Physical Test for Indian Armed Forces (Indian Air Force)
For getting recruited Physical fitness plays a very important role in Indian air force. Whatsoever the branch you are applying for, you must fulfill some basic physical standards as per norms of organization. Main Physical requirements are as follows:
Physical Requirements For Indian Air Force
- Applying candidate must be free from any disease in order fit to perform all duties.
- Candidate chest should be well- developed.
- No disease of bones and joints as per the standards.
- Candidates should not have any hearing problem or any disease related to ear, nose or throat.
- You should not be affected by any heart, lungs or any vessel disease as the muscles of the abdomen should be well developed and healthy without any enlargement of the liver and in any case you get find by any disease of internal organs of the abdomen then it may result to the cause for rejection.
- Urine examination will be done and any abnormality, if detected, can be a cause for rejection.
- Vision will be tested as per the standards.
- Candidate must have physical requirements as per the norms; number of natural and sound teeth should be according to rules.
- A minimum of 14 dental points will be acceptable, 32 teeth must be found present, and the total dental points required are 22.
- However, you should not be suffering from severe pyorrhea.

MARKING SYSTEM IS AS FOLLOWS
1.) 1.6 Km Run For all Categories.

Something You Should Put An Eye Upon
As per the Indian army standards the candidate who belongs to the North Eastern regions of India, Narwhal or Kumaon or is a Gorkha then the height has been relaxed up to 5 cm.

Physical Test for Indian Armed Forces (Indian Navy)
Preferably, the height of a candidate in age of 18 years of age should be 157 cm for males and 152 cm for females. The other criteria’s for anthropometric standard for aviation entries for males are as follows:-
- Sitting Height- Minimum 81.5 cm, Maximum-96.0 cm.
- Leg Length – Minimum-99.0 cm, Maximum-120.0 cm.
- Thigh Length-Maximum-64.0.

Points Which Get Examined Strictly in Physical Test for Indian Armed Forces:
- Hearing of a candidate should be good; he/ she should not have any disease with ear, nose or throat.
- Vision in eye should be as per the standards whereas his/her eyes should be bright, in vision and clear.
- There should be no glandular swelling.
- Chest should also be well formed and heart and lungs should be sound good.
- Joints and bones should perform well.
