Eligibility Criteria for SSC Group C/ D Stenographer Exam 2018:

Nationality/Citizenship:

A candidate must be either:

• a citizen of India, or
• a subject of Nepal, or
• a subject of Bhutan, or
• a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Educational Qualification for SSC Steno Recruitment:

As per SSC Stenographer Recruitment Qualification, applicants should have passed in 12th or equivalent examination from a well-known board or institute.

Age Criteria for SSC Stenographer Recruitment:

Candidates who are going to fill SSC Stenographer Application Form their age must lie between 18-27 years as on August 01, 2018. There is an age relaxation as per the norms/conditions of the government.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2018:

• In the Stenographer exam, there will be one online test and skill test.
• Online Exam will comprise questions from General Awareness, English Language and Comprehension and General intelligence and reasoning.
• There will be total 200 questions in exam of 200 marks.
• Time duration of exam will be of 2 hours.
• Each question carries one mark.
• Those who qualify online exam will undergo for skill test in stenography.
• There will be negative marking in stenographer exam. ¼ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer as negative marking.

SSC Steno Exam Syllabus 2018

English Language and Comprehension: English language, synonyms, antonyms, grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, reading comprehension etc. In the English language sections, writing ability also will be checked.

General Intelligence (Reasoning Questions): Verbal and nonverbal type questions, problem- solving analysis, arithmetical reasoning, syllogism, number series, blood relationship concept, visual memory, and much more.

General Awareness: Based on important dates of celebration, current events, book’s author name, important sports days, history, general polity, the economy of India, scientific research, economic sense and Indian constitution, current affairs, newspapers etc.

Selection Process for SSC Steno Jobs

• Selection of the aspirant for SSC Stenographer Recruitment will be based on Skill test, Written Examination followed by interview.
