OTET Exam Pattern

Candidates can either appear in Paper I or in Paper II. They don’t have the right to appear in both the examination. The candidates who have the desire to become a primary teacher can appear in the Paper I exam and those who want to become a secondary teacher can appear in the Paper II exam. Below give is the exam pattern for both Paper I & II, you can have a look on them.

Paper –I Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern for Paper I is given below. The candidates who are going to appear in the Paper I exam can go through the exam pattern and check the weightage of the exam.

  • Questions will be asked from the subjects namely Child Development and pedagogy, Language I (Odia/urdu), Language II (English), Mathematics and Environmental Studies.
  • Each subject carries 30 questions carrying 1 mark.
  • Total of the exam is 150 marks.

Paper II Exam Pattern:

Given below is the exam pattern for Paper II. The candidates may have a look on the exam pattern and prepare according to the weightage of each subject.

  • Questions in the exam will be related to Child Development and pedagogy, Language I (Odia/Urdu) and Language II (English).
  • Each subject will have 30 questions and each question will be of 1 mark.
  • The total of Paper II is 90 marks.
